Иматия — Богоматерь Сумела. В православном храме Панагия Сумела близ села Кастанья каждое лето тысячи верующих участвуют в торжественной литании с чудотворной иконой Пресвятой Богородицы.
Козани — Богоматерь Микрокастра. Накануне 15 августа всадники на разукрашенных лошадях собираются на центральных площадях и с первыми лучами солнца отправляются на поклон к святой иконе Божией Матери Микрокастра.

Некоторые факты из жизни:
Родился 17 июля 1830 года в семье крестьянина в селе Филейки близ Вятки.
С юных лет имел горячее желание служить Богу, знал наизусть множество молитв, читал священные книги, часто бывал в храме. Жил в Соловецком монастыре, затем много странствовал, бывал в Сарове, в Глинской пустыне, в Крыму, в 1864 году — на Святой Земле, дважды посещал Афон. В 1877 году 23 февраля был пострижен в монашество с именем Стефан в честь святителя Стефана Великопермского, просветителя вятичей.
Многие приходили к нему за благословением, советом и утешением. По молитвам преподобного множество людей получали исцеление от душевных и телесных болезней.
Своими трудами отец Стефан воздвиг церковь, основал скит. К старцу стала собираться братия.
Через некоторое время скит был преобразован в мужскую общежительную Александровскую пустынь, а 10 марта 1890 года было разрешено строительство Александро-Невского монастыря.
6 августа 1890 года старец принял схиму, а в праздник Успения Пресвятой Богородицы на 61-м году жизни он отошёл в вечные обители.
On August 15, various solemn events and folk festivities take place in Greece and on the islands in honor of the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Imathia — The Mother of God of Soumela.
At the Orthodox Church of Panagia Soumela near the village of Kastania, thousands of faithful participate every summer in a solemn procession with the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos.
Kozani — The Mother of God of Mikrocastra.
On the eve of August 15, horsemen on decorated horses gather in the central squares and at the first rays of the sun set out to venerate the holy icon of the Mother of God of Mikrocastra.
Thasos — The Mother of God of Thasos.
The faithful take part in a large feast at the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in the village of Panagia on the island of Thasos — a settlement named after the Mother of God.
Tinos — The Mother of God of Tinos.
The island of Tinos is identified with the name of the Mother of God of Tinos, and every year in August thousands of pilgrims from all over the country participate in the pilgrimage movement.
Patmos — The Mother of God Diasozousa.
On the island of Patmos is the renowned Monastery of the Revelation, whose monks observe the tradition of the Shroud of the Most Holy Theotokos.Saint Stephen of Filea, or Stephen of Vyatka (secular name — Simeon Kurteev).
Some facts from his life:
He was born on July 17, 1830, into a peasant family in the village of Fileiki near Vyatka.
From an early age, he had a fervent desire to serve God, knew many prayers by heart, read sacred books, and often attended church.
He lived in the Solovetsky Monastery, then traveled extensively, visiting Sarov, the Glinsk Hermitage, Crimea, the Holy Land in 1864, and twice visited Mount Athos.
On February 23, 1877, he was tonsured a monk with the name Stephen, in honor of Saint Stephen of Perm, enlightener of the Vyatichi.
Many came to him for blessing, advice, and consolation. Through his prayers, many received healing from spiritual and physical illnesses.
By his labors, Father Stephen built a church and founded a skete. A brotherhood gathered around the elder.
After some time, the skete was transformed into the male communal Alexandrovskaya Hermitage, and on March 10, 1890, permission was granted to build the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.
On August 6, 1890, the elder took the Great Schema, and on the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, at the age of 61, he reposed in the eternal dwellings.
