При жизни старец Филарет был почитаем в Москве как подвижник благочестия, мудрый и опытный духовный наставник. Немало людей обращались к нему за советами и наставлениями, и он, по мере своих сил, укреплял их в вере и направлял к добродетельной жизни.

English Translation

August 28 (September 10 in the new style) 1842 — the day of the death of Elder Philaret (Pulyashkin), in schema — Theodore, a monk of the Novospassky Monastery of the 19th century.

During his lifetime, Elder Philaret was revered in Moscow as an ascetic of piety, a wise and experienced spiritual mentor. Many people turned to him for advice and guidance, and he, to the best of his ability, strengthened them in faith and directed them towards a virtuous life. ??
